After being approached by a local spa owner who was worried about the health effects of nail dust and fumes in the salon, Purex International have developed the Professional Nail Station with a unique 3-way extraction system which was launched at Pro Beauty North.
Jon Young, Marketing Manager for Purex comments - "We have just come back from Professional Beauty North where we launched our new Professional Nail Station. This show is without a doubt the best exhibition our company has ever done. The level of interest and number of orders placed with us was amazing. We were also pleasantly surprised to see how many technicians and salon owners have already identified that dust from nails and fumes from nail products can cause medical complaints like occupational asthma and dermatitis and that they have decided to do something about it."
The new Purex station is unique in the market. It has a 3-way extraction system linked to a poweful yet very quiet filter system. This captures all nail dust and chemical fumes which otherwise would be inhaled by the technician and the client. The specialised Purex filters remove these contaminants and put clean, pure and odour free air back into the salon to create a more inviting and relaxing environment for clients.
Jon continues - "The main points that technicians were making at the show was that they wanted desperately to protect their health but didn't really want to wear a face mask. Imagine telling your client to put one on too! The other main comments were that some other extraction systems which they had purchased had turned out not to work well and that they loved the Purex Station because it was comfortable, very quiet, looked great and offered good working flexibility.
