Nail Dust is a Thing of the Past @ Nail Spa

When Cathie Smith of Nail-Spa in Bristol got the phone call to say she had won a Purex Nail Station, she nearly fell off her chair!

Thankfully Cathie remained upright long enough to receive delivery of a brand spanking new nail station.

The competition was run in association with Scratch magazine, the bible for all things nails.

Cathie has been a nail tech for the past four years beginning her training with a VTCT in Manicure and Advanced Nail Techniques before training on the EZFlow L&P/Gel nail system. More experience was gained with the Anthony Buckley Academy on Pink & Whites, Marbling, Colour Fades and Embossed Designs.

After working in a hair salon for 3 years Cathie took the plunge and opened "Nail Spa" (Bristol - 0117 967 7733) in February 2006 employing two staff full time , one part time plus a beauty student. Since then, "Nail Spa" has expanded its client base so much that more staff are planned to cope with growing demand.

Currently, Cathie is a whisker away from a Creative Master qualification in L&P which she is determined to pass in order to improve her technique further and offer even more to her loyal customer base.

Since winning the Purex Nail Station, Cathie has put it to good use saying, "The Purex is very well made, not like some other tables you can get. It is very solid and looks the business in beech"

"I do a bit of a demo for clients when they come in to show how well the Purex gets rid of vapours and nail dust, they love watching the dust spiral as it dissapears up the extraction arm like a tornado.
